EXPERIENCE
Andrew provides the Bates Golf Design Group extensive field experience in every aspect of construction from the largest of projects to small ones. He has managed projects in golf course construction overseas in Australia , Hawaii and Guam as well as many domestic locations. During his career he has also been involved in golf course maintenance as the Head Superintendent and Director of Maintenance of Craft Farms, a 54-hole facility. The acquisition of new projects, contract administration, owner relations, construction / design site visits, interfacing with contractors, budgeting, irrigation operation, agronomic consultation and recommendations, are a small list of his many responsibilities.
Andrew’s experience is invaluable when it comes to any project. With his enthusiasm he will provide the Bates group with knowledge of organizing a team that will finish within budget and on schedule. His responsibilities include interfacing with Owner and Contractor, generating construction cost estimate to ensure that the design will meet the budget set-forth, and preparing bid documents for the bidding process of contractors. Andy has great skills in construction scheduling, which will assist in the management of the contractor for the Team. He will make frequent site visits to ensure that the highest quality of construction is being implemented and that the intent of the design is produced in the style and spirit the Bates Golf Group created. He is the Senior Agronomic advisor for the Team.
